Since I feel the need to rant
I am going to complain about the difference in normal + limited versions of CDs.
FIRSTLY, why do we need DVDs/remix CDs, really? They ALWAYS get neglected because you use them once and then look for something more interesting on YouTube.
SECONDLY, why do they cost so much more when they are blatantly not that different?
THIRDLY, why are the covers so bad? Even if they’re good they usually take up too much space ‘[cause they’re DVD case sized, THEREFORE I can’t fit them into my CD holder.
Case in point: 心.跳 by 王力宏
WHY LEEHOM WHY. Yes, it is a good album. HOWEVER, (even though the CD-only is not that great), the CD+DVD version makes me cringe and I will not buy it, even though it’s the only one the record shops seem to bother stocking (probably because everyone buys the one with the less embarrassing cover).
Also, Perfume’s Triangle CD is bad enough as it is with bad cover art and bad songs, but also it has an ugly metal tin that really could be better. They don’t even use special fonts to emboss it with. Plus it WILL dent.
On the subject of Tek artists I like, Aira’s PLASTIC looks like it will be AMAZING (except it lacks “Sazae Funkadelic” and/or “Valentine Step”, which makes me sad because they’re my favourite Aira songs) but the special editions (which are DVD boxes) just look rubbish. The CD is okay because it’s meant to be gaudy and “plastic”.
(also I haven’t found shops that sell Aira and Perfume CDs, which makes me sad and a little surprised because they don’t have any Contemode-label at all and Nakata is crazy famous atm)
Also, Keane’s Under The Iron Sea CD+DVD had a fugly navy-blue book-shaped case, which was not great either and went funky on the corners, and Sanna Annuka’s art is boring and also I don’t like how it’s not always well aligned or it’s fuzzy or whatever.
Finally (for now), Perfume’s “love the world” and Kanon Wakeshima’s 砂のお城 both had comparatively poor (boring at least) LE covers compared to their normal editions. Maybe this is a clever plan to make you buy both versions. I don’t know.
THE ANOMALOUS RELEASES
There are some albums however that ignore this rule, for example I Loved Yesterday by YUI (which has a better CD+DVD one if you ask me), and GAME by Perfume (which has a rubbish CD-only one)
There are some more CDs I was thinking about earlier, but I’ve forgotten so I will edit this if I think of them again. Haha.
Also just so you know I’m too impatient to go to WikiCommons and reupload the pictures as it takes ages on this, so there are some links and some you have to find youself.

I don’t like old Keane because the fact that they were being complete jerks as people has tainted anything I liked, and also it is too depressing :q
Also I still like Perfume but I just think their new music is really mainstream and boring, and also I hate how their producer has processed the voices. I liked it better when I could tell who was singing and knew they actually could.
The demise of Contemode is where d-topia artists flourish. haha.
