another proof of existence post

Well, I haven’t posted in a while. Mainly because I can’t think of anything interesting to write (I’m already over the fact that nothing will ever actually be valid).
Instead have some sample mp3s for My Best Friend Is You. Look at all of those Explicits; it has to be good. The downers so far are [...]

& my most played this week…

Spamming my own blog remorselessly. This is what my iTunes Top 25 looks like right now (click!):
… yeah. I’m not sure whether that’s worse than usual, or better.
(Regarding the UK Top40, I like about 2 songs, & hate the rest. It’s great.)

Linkspam – defaced money

I have too much time on my hands. Here’s some graffiti’d money notes:

I thought this one was impressive. I don’t know what it’s going on about (pizza with the Rubens? Vasectomies?), but that is committed graffiti.

Most of the British ones are rubbish, but eh. Some of these are really amazing because of the amount [...]

On being British, or more like English…

There is not much that compares to writing about the Beatles when you’re feeling under the weather. For one, you don’t often get as many opportunities to write “Bealtes”.
However, it’s reminded me of a question from the other week;

What does ‘British’ mean to you?

For me: chavs, football, tea, the Beatles, scarves, roses, soup in a [...]

pi and freudian slippers

mental_floss t-shirts are actually genius.

designing t-shirts must be one of the best jobs ever. I like looking at Threadless’ (my favourite they’ve had was “tyger, tyger, burning kites”) but mental_floss is like a strictly nerdy version. I may have to plunder their Pavlov design.
(I’ve also found a new blog to read, Mind Hacks! how exciting. [...]

BUONGIORNO MONSIEUR !

Il s’appelle Steve et il est une fraise. (a hermaphroditic strawberry?!)

This is the actual real life (stuffed toy) MONSIEUR CONFITURE! as made by the awesome and amazing mrs spencer! thank you!
He likes san pellegrino, spaghetti carbonara and sunbathing (despite his name, he is actually an italian strawberry), but is slightly depressed. His main aim in [...]

Pirate names from Monday!

Being let out to lunch 20 minutes early inevitably led to a library session and I decided to compile a list of fictional names!
Lest I ever lose my planner here is my list as it was written, just not as nice and page-filling:
Our nautical names~~~ <— the sea
me ➝ Captain Featherbrim Parsemonius
Tom C ➝ [...]

List of overly pompous names, part I

As you will have noticed already, I like making up names. Here are some of my most recent ones:
Isabella Pampelmouss the 17th (also written as Isabelle Pampelmüß XVII)
Priscilla St John of the Ambulance, Quincy St John of the Ambulance
Suki Paiga
Naming my iPod is always a good excuse for a pompous namestorming session, but I haven’t [...]

non-existent google search query of the day

The thought for the day, from myself and Libby:
“Do ostriches eat crumpets?”

New Scientist should commission us a book. It wouldn’t necessarily be scientifically correct, but I don’t think anyone would notice.

I love post, part the second

POST YAY!

I got a letter from Amane. It’s been a while.
Why is it souvenir pens are so often better than commercial ones? This one has a really good fine point. Instantly good writing!
Also, why isn’t there an earlier/later entries link on this blog? I must be blind.
